RESPONSIBILITIES
The genetics activity needs to be strengthened by the recruitment of a full-time clinical geneticist, in order to meet the following objectives in particular:
Provide clinical genetics services ( rare diseases in child- and adulthood, cancer susceptibility syndromes, prenatal counselling);
Participating in medical validation of genetic analysis;
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings with those involved in genetic patient management;
Participate in the supervision of genetic counsellor and doctors undergoing specialization;
Monitor the literature on genetics and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and patient management recommendations;
Participate in genetics working groups within national public health programs and working groups ( National Program for Rare Diseases, National Cancer Plan). PROFILE
Doctor in medicine with a specialty title in Human Genetics;
An authorization to practice medicine in Luxembourg is mandatory ();
Relevant experience in clinical genetics;
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills;
Strong communication and teamwork abilities;
Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent tasks efficiently;
Good command of spoken and written English and either French or German. Luxemburgish will be considered as an asset.
